After extensive discussion around ethics and complexities behind representation andlanguage, I reassessed and annotated the original Preface text about my 2015 project, which was designing educational materials for Marma, an endangered language in theChittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh.

This is an exercise in reintroducing complexities that are often filtered out, stripped away, or glossed over when issues are packaged and presented to Western design audiences—or when the issues themselves are addressed via Western intervention in the first place. It is by no means an exhaustive amendmentor update, as the upholding of ethical practices is the diligent pursuit of an ever-rolling horizon line.
